The success of any school is in large part determined by the interest of the Parents in the education of their children. Our Parent Teacher Association is a vital part of our school, and is actively engaged in activities that will enhance the educational opportunities of the children. Our fundraisers are kept to a minimum; most are designed with little sales effort involved. The PTA's main project is Peace Day which is celebrated in April of each year. Peace Day is a celebration of the diversity of our families, awareness of global cultures, and the inner peace that we try to develop in the children in the classrooms. The festival has included, in years past, entertainment from local musicians, magicians, and dancers, as well as games and activities created and run by the parents themselves. The children plan entertainment for their parents based on themes of several different foreign countries which they have studied in their classes. Last year's focus was Italy, Mexico and Sri Lanka.
