The Absorbent Mind

Maria Montessori learned and realized that children were absorbing from their environment from birth until the age of 6. Every thing a child comes in contact with is unconsciously embedded in its mind.
This realization became the cornerstone of her method that we use to assist the child in learning by having a prepared environment that will speak to the child and allow the potential of the inner child to spring forth. To continue to assist the child in his development Montessori teachers intimately observe their student every day to know if the order and arrangement of the environment is working. Flexibility is the key to observing the children and the environment in a non-judgmental way to follow the child and be an eyewitness to an amazing experience of learning.
It is an amazing experience to observe a Montessori classroom where the smallest of humans work with purpose. We hope to see you at our Morning of Montessori at 9:00-10:30am or Open House at 11:00pm
on Saturday Oct. 13th.
