Substitute Teachers

Searching for skilled and dedicated individuals to be a part of an outstanding faculty. The ideal candidates will be dynamic, student-centered, success-oriented individuals who embrace the mission of Charlotte Montessori School.

They will be responsible for establishing a positive, encouraging, appropriate relationship with students in which they are both held to high standards and supported in their attempts to meet them. This person will work with other teachers and staff as a contributing team member to present a cooperative and positive work environment.

Assistant Primary Teacher

Primary Assistant Montessori Teacher — Charlotte Montessori School is looking for a full time Assistant Teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals.  Applicant should have experience working with young children, and some general understanding of the Montessori philosophy and curriculum.  A college degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Charlotte Montessori School has very low teacher turnover, and we are looking for a dependable candidate that is committed to finding a long-term position.  Candidates must be self-motivated, patient, energetic, and possess a positive attitude.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate respect for the child, school, and environment.  Hours are generally 8:45AM to 5:45PM, five days a week with two weeks off between Christmas and New Year’s, vacation time and 6 personal days a year. Our Primary classrooms are mixed age grouping between the ages of 3 and 5 years.

The ability to work as a team is essential. Our Assistant Teachers are the leaders of Extended Day. We welcome your passion for the arts and sciences to enrich our program. We offer a real career opportunity for the right candidate. Promptness and dependability are a must.
