Marissa Haigwood

Ms. Marissa graduated from Converse University at Spartanburg, SC with a bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy. During her time at Converse she was elected President of the Art Society for two years and created/led many events for the club. After graduating, she started as an Art Director at a children’s art studio as well as a private swim instructor but moved on to her early childhood education career at Charlotte Montessori School in 2022. From her experiences thus far she discovered her passion for early childhood education. She loves to help children grow and discover their strength. She is excited to continue with Charlotte Montessori School for her second year and learn more about the Montessori philosophy.

In her free time she loves to paint portraits, swim, read, and find new adventures. Ms. Marissa feels very honored and passionate about working with young children and such an amazing community.
