MS in Educational Leadership | MEd in Special Education | BS in Psychology

Rachelle brings over 22 years of experience in education, including the past decade in school leadership. She most recently served as principal of Highland Mills Montessori School, where her team achieved recognition as a School of Distinction/Excellence and the honor of becoming a Certified Magnet School of America. Under her leadership, the school consistently met or exceeded state growth expectations while maintaining a strong commitment to implementing Montessori principles with fidelity within the public school system.

Her academic background reflects a deep dedication to both educational leadership and child development. Rachelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mary Washington College, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University, and a Master’s degree in Special Education from UNC Charlotte. She also completed her Montessori School Leadership Certification through the Montessori Live Educator Training Program in Venice, Florida. Earlier in her career, Rachelle served as a math facilitator and special education teacher at Berryhill Pre-K-8, an experience that helped shape her philosophy of education and reinforced the importance of relationships, joyful learning, and servant leadership.

Rachelle is also a proud Montessori parent of four children, which brings an additional perspective to her work and strengthens her belief in the transformative power of Montessori education. Outside of school, she enjoys playing soccer, traveling, running, and creating art in a variety of mediums.
