Zoe Norman

Lead Teacher Toddler VII

BA English

Ms. Zoë is excited to start her first year at Charlotte Montessori School. She has a passion for working in early childhood education and can’t wait to work within this vibrant and positive community. She enjoys teaching children using the Montessori method because the environment cultivates a love for learning and an independent nature within the individual child. Ms. Zoë received her BA in English at Kingston University, London and is currently working to obtain her official Montessori certification. After she earned her Bachelor’s, she moved back to America and began working in early childhood education in Portland, Oregon. There she worked as a teacher in a classroom using a mix of Neo-humanist, Waldorf, and Montessori methods. It gave her the opportunity to explore the multiple pedagogical approaches and when she moved to Charlotte, she knew she wanted to specialize in Montessori.

In her free-time Ms. Zoë likes to bake, tend to her vegetable garden, crochet, do headstands, kayak and hang out with her husband and her pet fish. Ms. Zoë feels very blessed to work as a teacher and feels it is an honor to observe and guide children as they grow.
